Christine Calvert

Christine Calvert-Joyner is an Operations Review Specialist with the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice. Christine has more than a decade and a half experience working with at-risk youth and families.

Christine spent eight years as a special education teacher working with the Saint Lucie School Board in public education, in addition to providing special education to youth in various residential programs in Okeechobee County. Christine spent the following six years working in community based mental health services providing much needed services to urban communities in Saint Lucie County. Prior to accepting a position with the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice’s Bureau of Monitoring and Quality Improvement, Christine worked as a Juvenile Probation Officer within the Department. Christine’s overall experience in service provision make her an invaluable peer trainer and leader in compliance monitoring.

Christine enjoys spending time with her four children, Geocaching, and playing euphonium. On any given weekend, Christine and her family may be found hiking through a nature park, spending time at the beach, and enjoying the outdoors.

Christine has a Bachelor of Arts from Flagler College in Education with a minor in Specific Learning Disabilities. She recently completed the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Leadership Academy and the Florida Certified Public Manager program. Christine is eager to serve and contribute to the Elevating Grace Board.
